A ministry of compassion
About the Board of Deacons
The office of Deacon, as outlined in Scripture, is a ministry of compassion, witness, and service, modeled after the example of Jesus Christ. Deacons care for the welfare of the congregation, offer support to those in need, and provide a wide range of service to the community.
They help prepare the sanctuary for worship and support important celebrations and gatherings in the life of the church.
