Leadership
Behind every worship service, act of care, and community gathering are people who help First Presbyterian Church in Goshen carry out its mission.

Pastor Todd Young
Senior Pastor
Born in Brooklyn and raised in Queens, Todd Matthew Young has devoted his life to faith, service, and education. He and his wife, Lauren, have been married for more than 28 years, and together have shared a passion for ministry.
Todd came to Christ in 1989 and began his ministry at Chapel of the Redeemer in Westchester County, serving there from 1998–2011 as a Bible instructor, church administrator, and spiritual counselor to a congregation of over 200 members.
He later served the Hudson River Presbytery in pastoral leadership, including as a Stated Supply Pastor, Moderator, Commissioned Ruling Elder, and Committee on Ministry member. His work has included pulpit supply, communion training, and support for congregations across the region.
His education includes graduate study in urban ministry at New York Theological Seminary and degrees in human services and behavioral science. He has also worked in substance-abuse prevention, counseling, and community education.
Outside ministry, Todd enjoys motorcycling, woodworking, exploring technology, and playing trivia games. At home, he and Lauren enjoy spending time with their two kittens.
